Delivering on HNC
What to upload, the file size limits, what "delivered" means in the app, and what happens after the client confirms.

In this lesson: how a booking ends, from uploading your files to getting paid. Why it matters on an HNC shoot: delivery is the promise HNC makes to clients, edited photos before they leave. Getting this step right is what turns a good shoot into a five-star rating and a rebooking.
What to upload
Upload the finished, edited photos and videos, the best selection that covers the client's three priorities from lesson 7. This is roughly 20 to 40 pictures as a guide (see lesson 8), not every frame you took.
- Edited, final files only. Do not upload RAW files, test shots or near-duplicates, and do not hand over unedited originals. The client has paid for finished work.
- Photos and videos go up through the booking in the app, in the delivery section of your active job. You can add more than one file at a time.
- Check every file before you upload. Open each one at full size. Look for sharp eyes, natural skin, and no stray fingers or glitches. Also play every video from start to finish.
- Never send files outside the app. Do not email them, text them, or share a link from another service. Everything for the booking stays in HNC.
File size limits
- Each file can be up to 500 MB in the app. A finished photo is usually a few megabytes, and a short vertical reel is usually well under 100 MB, so most deliveries are far below this.
- HNC does not resize or compress your files. What you export is exactly what the client receives, so export at a sensible size: full quality for photos, and a normal 1080p export for reels.
- If a delivery would total more than about 2 GB, flag it to HNC. That is the signal for memory-card delivery, which is used for very large deliveries such as a full day of video. Do not try to push it through the app in pieces. Contact HNC through Help in your dashboard (or at support@hirencapture.com) before the session ends, and we will arrange the handoff with you and the client.
What "delivered" means in the app
A booking moves through clear stages: accepted, arrived, in progress, delivered, completed.
- Marking the booking "delivered" is your statement that the finished files are uploaded and checked, ready for the client to review. Do it when that is true, not before. Mark it as soon as the files are checked, so the client sees every stage.
- It does not end the booking. After you mark delivered, the client reviews the files, and they must confirm delivery themselves.
- If something is missing or wrong, the client can message you in the booking chat (see below). Fix it quickly.
What happens after the client confirms
- Payment is released. The client's payment was held in escrow when they booked. When they confirm delivery, the held payment is captured and released to you. If the client does not respond within 24 hours, it is captured automatically. You receive your full listed rate, because HNC's commission is added on top of what the client pays.
- Tips are yours. Any tip is 100 percent yours, and HNC takes no commission from it.
- A 24-hour chat opens for follow-up. For the next 24 hours you and the client can message in the booking chat. Use it to fix anything missing or incorrect. The chat blocks phone numbers, emails and social handles, so keep it about the photos.
- The rating opens when the chat closes. The client rates five things: capture quality, editing quality, professionalism, on-time delivery and arrival timing. New photographers show as "New" until they have completed 10 jobs.
- Files are stored for 30 days. After delivery the client can download their files and delete them, or keep them for the 30-day storage window. When the window ends, the files are deleted. The client gets reminders before that happens. Never rely on being able to find a file later, and never keep or reuse client files yourself.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Uploading everything you shot. Deliver your strongest photos, roughly 20 to 40 as a guide, edited.
- Uploading unchecked files. Open each file at full size and play each video.
- Marking delivered too early. Only after every file is uploaded and checked.
- Sending files by email or a chat app. Keep every delivery inside the app.
- Ignoring the 24-hour chat. Answer quickly and fix problems; this is part of your rating.
- Trying to upload a huge delivery in pieces. Over about 2 GB, contact HNC through Help.
- Keeping client files afterward. They belong to the client.
Key takeaway
Upload only checked, finished files through the app, mark delivered when they are ready, and fix any problems in the 24-hour window after the client confirms.
